Casa Chiara is a splendid stone farmhouse situated on a hilltop on the border of Umbria and Tuscany, 30 minutes from Cortona, the famous Tuscan village and about 5 from Preggio wonderful ancient hamlet and 15 minutes from Umbertide.

The valley is 25 km long, running from the twin villages of Mercatale (in Tuscany) and Lisciano Niccone (in Umbria), down to the village of Niccone, where it meets the River Tiber. For much of the Niccone Valley’s length, the border between Tuscany and Umbria follows the Niccone River.

Here  you can experience the best of many worlds , medieval towns, first class restaurants, wine tasting  and golf with the splendid Antognolla Golf club 30 minutes away.

The private swimming pool with hot tub is situated below the villa.

The large garden of 1,4 hectares is completely fenced and features a wonderful pinehood, and oaks.

In addition, seven hectares of private land, consisting of meadows, fields and a little lake may be explored in complete privacy.

The farmhouse of 300 square meters is dating back to the 1600s, renovated and adapted to host families, is on two levels and all the rooms are spacious with beautiful views.

The renovation  has been carried out fully respecting the original beauty and structure, carefully bringing out the most significant characteristics and to create the finest country style; the beautiful mottled stone, round arches, oak-beam ceilings, rustic antiques and bare stone walls.

On the ground floor all the rooms have access to the large garden, the sitting room to the outdoor terrace ideal for enjoying  ‘al fresco’ meals while admiring the spectacular views.
